Fortunatus Magambo – Board Chairman, AFRIPRISE Investments PLC Fortunatus Magambo has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AFRIPRISE Investments PLC since December 2018. In this capacity, he focuses on establishing the company’s strategic direction, shaping policies, developing leadership, and ensuring that shareholder commitments are fulfilled.

He is currently the Director of Planning and Investment at the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF), where he represents the Fund on the AFRIPRISE Board. Additionally, he serves as a Board Member for several organizations, including Nguru Hills Ranch Ltd, Tanzania Postal Bank, Ubungo Plaza Ltd, and UTT Asset Management and Investor Services Plc (UTT AMIS).

With a wealth of experience in finance, investment, and strategic management, Mr. Magambo has a solid background in leadership, organizational development, and project management across government agencies, multinational corporations, and non-governmental organizations.

Previously, he held the position of Treasury Manager at LAPF Pensions Fund, which provided him with considerable knowledge of financial management and business operations, particularly in emerging markets.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Hanze University College in Groningen, Netherlands, and an MSc in Economics from Tilburg University. He also completed a Dutch Doctoral Programme—Doctorandus (Drs)—earning an Associate Doctorate from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Tilburg University.

As Board Chairman, Mr. Magambo contributes strategic vision, financial expertise, and leadership that foster the sustainable growth and success of AFRIPRISE Investments PLC.

Mr. Mnyawami - Tanzanian

Member

Mr. Mnyawami is an experienced economist and statistician with over 20 years of professional expertise in investment planning, research, and risk management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics (Hons) from Makerere University (1993) and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam (2003).

His career began at the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), where he worked as a Statistician in the Directorate of Marketing and Investments from 1994 to 2002. He then joined the Parastatal Pensions Fund (PPF) as a Programme Coordinator and Research Planning Manager before returning to TPDC in 2015.

Currently, Mr. Mnyawami serves at the Ministry of Energy, Tanzania, contributing his expertise in strategic planning and policy development in the energy sector. He is also a Member of AFRIPRISE’s Investment and Risk Management Committee and a registered Member of the Institute of Directors in Tanzania, reflecting his strong governance and leadership skills.

With his extensive background in finance, energy, and investment management, Mr. Mnyawami brings valuable insights and strategic guidance to the AFRIPRISE Board.

Ms Magdalene Nelson Enock Mkocha - Tanzanian

Member

Ms. Magdalene Mkocha is a highly experienced agricultural and agribusiness expert with over 37 years of professional service in both public and private sectors. She holds a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Dar es Salaam (1979) and a Master of Science in Agriculture from Sokoine University (1998).

Her career began at the National Agricultural and Food Corporation (NAFCO), where she worked from 1979 to 2002, gaining extensive experience in agricultural policy, agribusiness development, and food security. In 2002, she joined the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (TCCIA) as a Senior Chamber Development Officer and later served as the Director for Agriculture Development, playing a key role in shaping agricultural policies and strengthening private-sector engagement.

Ms. Mkocha is also actively involved in governance and policy advisory roles. She is a member of the TICL Audit Committee and serves on several national boards and committees, including the Labor Economic and Social Council under the Ministry of Labor, the Tanzania Meat Board, the National Sanitary and Phytosanitary Committee, and the Technical Advisory Committee of the Sugar Board of Tanzania, where she serves as an alternate member. She is also the Chairperson of the VETA Trade Advisory Committee.

In addition to her professional and advisory roles, she is a registered member of the Institute of Directors in Tanzania, reflecting her strong background in corporate governance and strategic leadership. With her deep expertise in agriculture, agribusiness, and economic policy, Ms. Mkocha brings valuable insights to the AFRIPRISE Board, contributing to sustainable investment strategies and economic growth.

Prof. Lucian Ambrose Msambichaka - Tanzanian

Member

Prof. Lucian Msambichaka is a highly respected economist and agricultural expert with decades of experience in academia, public administration, and investment management. He holds a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Dar es Salaam, along with an MSc and PhD from Leipzig University in Germany. 

He is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Dar es Salaam, where he has made significant contributions to economic research, policy formulation, and capacity building in Tanzania. His leadership extends beyond academia, having served as the Chairman of the National Committee for the Preparation of Tanzania’s 50-Year Development Plan, a role that underscores his deep involvement in shaping the country's long-term economic vision. 

Prof. Msambichaka is a member of the Agricultural Economics Society of Tanzania, the Economics Society of Tanzania, and the African Association of Public Administration and Management. He also serves as the Chairman of AFRIPRISE’s Board Investment Committee, providing strategic guidance on investment decisions. 

Throughout his career, he has chaired several prominent boards and organizations, including the Morogoro Leather Goods Board of Directors, the Financial Services and Enterprises Development Association, the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) Board, Moshi University College of Cooperative and Business Studies, the Business Registration and Licensing Agency (BRELA), the Rufiji Basin Development Authority (RUBADA), the Institute of Social Work Board of Governors, and the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC). 

With his extensive expertise in economic planning, governance, and investment, Prof. Msambichaka brings unparalleled insight and strategic leadership to the AFRIPRISE Board, ensuring sustainable growth and impactful decision-making.

Mr. Joseph Matanga Kahungwa -Tanzanian

Mr. Kahungwa holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting -Hons.) degree from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, 1987 and Master of Business Administration (Hons) from the University of Dar-es-Salaam, 2003. He is also the President (Agriculture) of the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (May 2013 to date), shareholder and board member of the Board of Directors of TCCIA Investment PLC and also Chairman of its Audit Committee. Mr. Kahungwa also saved as the TCCIA Mwanza Region Chairman (March 2008 to March 2013), TCCIA Mwanza Regional Vice-Chairman (2001 to March 2008), Board member CRDB Bank PLC from 2001 to 2006, member of the finance committee of the Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AICT) 1977 to 2014. Previously, he held several positions including Logistics and Government Relations Manager of Pangea Minerals Ltd from July 1999 to 2001, Senior Accountant - Pangea Minerals Ltd, Senior Accountant and Credit Controller – Board of External Trade from 1992 to 1994. Accountant, Board of External Trade from 1991 to 1992. Mr Kahungwa also serves as Chairman of Economic, Planning and Development of African Inland Church Tanzania from 2014 to date. He is a registered member of the Institute of Directors in Tanzania.

Mr Peter W. Kifunguomali - Tanzania

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Peter Kifunguomali is an accomplished investment and business strategist with extensive experience in finance, corporate planning, and project management. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Business from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi (2014), and a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a focus on Project Planning and Management from Mzumbe University (2007).

His career began at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, where he gained valuable insights into economic development and resource management. He later transitioned to the financial sector, working with NBC Bank and LAPF Pensions Fund, where he developed his expertise in investment management, pension administration, and strategic planning.

Before assuming his current role as Chief Executive Officer of AFRIPRISE Investments PLC, Mr. Kifunguomali served as the Head of the Planning Section at the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) since September 2018. He also acquired board-level governance experience as a Member of the AFRIPRISE Board from July 2017 to June 2019, which provided him with a deep understanding of the company’s operations and long-term vision.

Under his leadership, AFRIPRISE has strengthened its position as a key player in Tanzania’s investment landscape. His ability to drive growth, foster innovation, and execute strategic initiatives makes him a vital force in advancing the company's mission and creating sustainable value for shareholders.

Valentino Maganga Daudi

Board Member

Valentino Maganga Daudi is a distinguished legal expert with over 15 years of experience in corporate law, social security, labour, taxation, investment, and international trade and finance law.

He is a registered Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and holds an LL.B (Hons) and an LL.M from the University of Dar es Salaam. As a certified Director and Board Secretary by the Institute of Directors of Tanzania (IoDT), Mr Maganga currently serves as Principal Legal Counsel at the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF). He is also a member of the Labour, Social, and Economic Council (LESCO) and acts as an Advisory Board Member of the Global Alliance for Legal Aid (USA). Additionally, he serves on the boards of Mwanza City Commercial Complex Co. Ltd (Rock City Mall) and TCCIA Investment PLC.

He played a pivotal role in drafting the Portability of Social Security Benefits Framework for SADC countries and collaborated with the ILO and World Bank on extending social protection for migrant workers in Africa. A respected legal scholar, he has authored and presented several papers on critical legal and policy issues.

With his extensive expertise in governance and regulatory frameworks, Mr Maganga brings valuable strategic insight to Afriprise Investments PLC.

Vicent Bruno Minja

Board Member

Vicent Bruno Minja is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience across various industries. As the President of the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (TCCIA), he plays a crucial role in shaping the country's business landscape. He also serves as a Board Member of the East Africa Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture and co-chairs the Business Environment Working Group under the Tanzania National Business Council (TNBC).

With a background in finance, business management, and governance, Vicent holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Central England and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-T). He also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM).

Over the past two decades, he has built and led successful businesses, including Nakiete Pharmacy T Ltd, Misha East Africa Ltd, and Izungo Apartments and Tours Ltd, with ventures in pharmaceuticals, office equipment, construction materials, hospitality, and mining.

As a Board Member of AFRIPRISE Investments PLC, Vicent contributes strategic leadership, financial expertise, and a deep understanding of the investment landscape, aiding the company’s growth and long-term success.
